STRABENS HALL WEBSITE FAQS
What has happened to Strabens Hall?
Upon entering administration on 10 September 2024, Strabens Hall Limited (SH) regulated business and assets were acquired by Hybrid Advice Central Limited (Hybrid Advice), a new consolidator in the financial advisory market. The non-regulated business and assets were acquired by D’Arblay Wealth Limited, an affiliate of Hybrid Advice.
SH clients will become clients of Hybrid Advice trading as D’Arblay Wealth and will continue to receive financial advice from the same advisers and support staff. D’Arblay Wealth is a trading name of Hybrid Advice. SH advisers are employed by D’Arblay Wealth Limited and certified by Hybrid Advice.
Adam Benskin and John Halley, the co-founders of SH, now need to fulfil their responsibilities as directors of SH and assist the Joint Administrators where appropriate during the administration. They will not be transferring to D’Arblay Wealth at this time.
Why did Strabens Hall go into administration?
SH went into administration after a creditor unexpectedly petitioned to wind up the company. SH had been in discussions with this creditor since September 2023 and had a payment plan in place, which was being partly funded by a debt facility from an affiliate of Hybrid Advice. Despite proposing the terms of the repayment plan and commencing repayments, in August 2024, SH received notice that the creditor had unexpectedly issued a petition to wind up the company. This forced SH and Hybrid Advice to agree to an accelerated and amended acquisition of the business and assets to ensure continuity of the business and high quality of advice to all SH clients.
